FoundersMarvin Rosenbaum, a co-founder of Rosenbaum Fine Art, has served as Chairman of the Board since its inception in 1979. With a Bachelor of Business Administration from City College of New York, Bernard M. Baruch School of Business, Mr. Rosenbaum began his career with Olivetti, a multi-national manufacturing company, as a territory Sales Representative. Within 10 years at Olivetti, Mr. Rosenbaum climbed through the ranks to Manager in the New York region, where he was responsible for all sales, service and administration functions. Additionally, Mr. Rosenbaum was a member of the transition team that was responsible for implementing the operations and the restructuring of Olivetti’s acquisition of Underwood Typewriter Company. Mr. Rosenbaum resigned from Olivetti to focus on the imported art business, and founded Emrose Art Corporation, an import company that purchased original works of art from the Far East for distribution throughout the United States. Today, Mr. Rosenbaum is an internationally recognized expert in the art world, specializing in Picasso ceramics. He has served as a member of the Board of Directors of the Professional Picture Framers Association (PPFA) and has served as its Chairman of the Art Committee and a Board Member of its Trade Show Committee. Moreover, Mr. Rosenbaum was a contributing editor to the internationally distributed art and framing trade publication, Art Expressions Magazine. Recently, he received a Lifetime Achievement Award from Art Expo and has been inducted into the Art Expo Hall of Fame. Howard Rosenbaum, co-founder of Rosenbaum Fine Art following a business education at the University of Miami, has served as Chief Executive Officer, President and a Director since the company’s inception in 1979. Mr. Rosenbaum’s primary responsibility and special interest has been in the product development arena. Howard is responsible for selecting most of the company’s artists and negotiating their agreements with the company. Additionally, Howard works closely with the artists on staff in order to ensure the commercial viability of their artwork. Prior to founding the company, Howard traveled extensively throughout Europe acquiring fine art from some of the world’s greatest artists and/or their representatives. He purchased works of art for distribution throughout the United States directly from such master artists as Miro, Vasarely, Chagall, and Picasso to name a few. In this capacity, Howard specifically selected only those works of art from the artists’ entire repertories that, in his sole judgment, would have the greatest commercial value. Howard has also developed relationships with publishers throughout Europe such as Gallery Maeght and Arcay Co., firms who produce serigraphs, lithographs and limited editions for many internationally renowned artists, contributing to the great success he brings to Rosenbaum Fine Art today. |
